DIGGING DEEPER

There’s no better way to connect with where your food comes from than to spend an afternoon volunteering on a farm. You’re always welcome to lend us a hand, but the Portland area is full of great opportunities. A few are listed at right. See you soon!

Volunteer!

Volunteer Opportunities with 47th Avenue Farm
We host Summer Work Parties the first Saturday of the month, June – Oct. They are at Luscher Farm, 125 Rosemont Rd, Lake Oswego, unless otherwise noted.

This summer we are also adding a Friday volunteer opportunity.  Every third Friday of the month, Rebekah Anderson, former Farmer Manager at 47th, will lead a group of volunteers in whatever projects need to be done that day.  Volunteers may join for half a day or the full work day to get a taste of what it’s like to be a farmer.  Volunteers should bring their own lunch and a tour of the farm will be included in the day.

Everyone is welcome to join us for these events – there will be work for people of all ages and abilities. Please RSVP if you’re planning to come out to help.
